About this Compound

CJC-1295 with DAC is a 30-amino-acid analog of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) fitted with a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) — a maleimidopropionic acid group that binds covalently to serum albumin in preclinical models. Where unmodified GHRH analogs are cleared within minutes, the DAC modification has been reported to extend functional half-life to roughly 6–8 days, making it one of the most studied long-acting GHRH constructs in the research literature.

Proposed Mechanism

Preclinical literature describes agonism of the GHRH receptor on pituitary somatotrophs, supporting sustained elevation of GH and downstream IGF-1 in study models rather than the brief pulses produced by short-acting analogs. Albumin binding via the DAC group is proposed as the basis for its extended activity.
